When Dr. Monty Moshier was 11 years old, his father was involved in a serious accident. Fortunately, his father survived, but he did end up losing his right leg just below the knee. When Dr. Moshier was studying for his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering, his father called him one day and asked if he was interested in helping with the design of a new prosthetic foot. This was the beginning of his venture into the world of prosthetic feet and his over 10 year relationship with Byron Claudino and Barry Townsend of BioQuest Prosthetics.
Today MAKSTRIDE is involved with all aspects of prosthetic foot development. MAKSTRIDE starts with a concept and takes all the way from computer designs, to computer analysis, to prototypes, to testing and into a lean manufacturing process. Here at MASTRIDE besides feet we have been involved in the development of many other products. We can design and manufacture anything ranging from electronics to mechanical systems.
